Peter de Jong is the founder of On Fire ministries and has been in ministry for over 20 years. He lives near Gorinchem, in Holland. While studying law school, Peter got into business and has spend part of his time for ministry and part of his time for business ever since. The last years Peter has started spending most of his time on ministry. Peter is passionate about seeing the Fire of God burn in people and churches. So that people and people groups will be touched by us and Him. Peter feels that the one’s who need Jesus the most, are often to be found outside the church. So he likes to minister both inside and outside the church, using the gifts of the Holy Spirit, including the gifts of healings and prophecy.

In October 1997 Peter got into a severe car accident as his car got rear ended on the highway. Pretty soon people had to look after him because his memory got very bad. He could not remember where he lived, mixed up his speech, his eyes did not focus properly, he had little power in his arms and he was in constant pain. As a result he could not work anymore. Many people prayed for him but he did not get healed. In March 1999 his friend Bob Brasset from Extreme Healing Team Canada prayed for him. Much to his surprise, Peter got instantly healed. That very day Bob asked him to start travelling with him and the next day they were ministering and praying for the sick together. The Father always has blessed Peter with precious mentors and since 1999 Bob has been investing in Peter a lot.

In Peter’s heart there is a strong desire to also reach people groups where there are no, or hardly any, Christians. He therefore ministered for many years in Kosovo and now also ministers amongst the Fulani in Niger.
